Happy New Year 2026!

Greetings fellow Vinianites!

As 2025 draws to a close and the new year begins, on behalf of the association we would like to express our heartfelt thanks for all of your support. We hope that this year offers you and your family many opportunities for happiness, and that--just as you did last year--you will walk side by side with us as we strive to honor the legacy of our village.

Additionally, we have an announcement we would like to make. • It is with great sorrow that we announce that Athanasios Nikopoulos (Tom Nixon) passed on to the Lord on January 23rd, 2026. Mr. Nikopoulos was born in Viniani on January 18th, 1934. He immigrated to America in 1955 where he became a successful restaurant operator and businessman, rooted in faith, hard work, devotion, and service, while never losing his deep love for Greece and his village Viniani. He is survived by his wife Eleftheria, two children (Vasilis and Ioanna), and four grandchildren (Joanna, Tommy, George, and Ria). Besides serving the church as a chanter, throughout his life Mr. Nikopoulos was also president of Adelphotis Vinianiton, the Velouchi Association of America, Elatos Chapter No. 4 of Charlotte, and was a long-standing member of the Order of Ahepa. We would like to express our heartfelt condolences to his family.
