Greetings fellow Vinianites! We recently had the pleasure of corresponding with Parthenia Charitou, the president of Eppi-Droume Anke (a non-profit organization dedicated to charitable endeavors benefiting Greek communities) and the owner of the Greek Village Life Youtube channel (a channel that focuses on Greek villages and their irreplaceable histories). Ms. Charitou previously conducted an interview with our own Tom and Laura Nixon, which can be watched in its entirety here: INTERVIEW WITH TOM NIXON: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dmXlS682Y0 Ms. Charitou and the members of Eppi-Droume Anke share the same reverence for history that guides our association, and through their tireless work have preserved countless stories─from Evrytania's people and beyond─that might have otherwise been lost to time. Below are links to Eppi-Droume Anke's official blog and the Greek Village Life Youtube channel. From gripping accounts of war-time hardships to generational recipes and the fond family memories that accompany them, both sources provide varied, fascinating insights that (in Ms. Charitou's own words) strive to convey an authentic image of life in our Greek villages and offer a "digital bridge" to bring Greece a little closer to you, wherever you are.
