Serafim was born in Viniani, and was a humble, hard-working man. He loved gardening and spending time with his family, which were by his side when he passed. He leaves behind a wife (Penelope), five children (Nia, Voula, George (deceased), Tommy, and Nick), and seven grandchildren (Kostas, John, Jacob, Thomas, Alexis, Lea, and Joseph).
