Nicholas C. Kithas was born in Viniani, Evrytanias in 1918 to Christoforos (1892-1989) and Eleni Kolokythas. His only sibling was George Kolokythas (1920-1996). After Eleni's passing, Christorofos immigrated to America on November 25th, 1920, leaving Nicholas and his brother behind in Viniani. In the early 1940's, Nicholas immigrated to America and enlisted in the US Army on May 25th, 1944. His service lasted for the duration of World War II and six months afterwards. After returning to civilian life, he married Mary Adams (September 15th, 1913-February 23rd, 2000). Together, they had one daughter, Elaine (1939-Present). Later on, Elaine married Leonard Cotten Goodwin (1944-Present), and together they had two children: Christopher and Pamela. Nicholas passed away in 1986 in Richmond, Virginia, and was buried in the Kithas family burial plot in Durham, North Carolina.
