Born November 11, 1923
• Menas was born in Viniani, Evrytanias, Greece on November 11, 1923.
• He is the youngest of 8 siblings.
• Menas graduated from Karpenisi High School and attended the school of Economic Science at Athens University.
• Worked in the Treasury department of the General Administration of Public Accounting in Greece. • Worked as a public clerk for the Greek government and entered the school of economic science at Athens University.
• Served in the National Greek Resistance in Evrytanias from 1942 to 1944.
• Immigrated to the United States of America from Athens, Greece in June 1956 and settled in Parkersburg, WV, with his brother, Sam.
• First experience in restaurant business with his brother, Sam, owner of the Travelers Restaurant in Parkersburg, WV
• Married Athena Peroulas on November 29, 1959 then moved to Knoxville, TN in 1960
• Has 3 children, twin boys – Elias and Sam and daughter Olga
• Has 7 grandchildren
• Owned and operated the Original Louis Drive Inn and Louis Inn Restaurants from 1962 until his retirement in 1998.
• Member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Knoxville, served many positions on the Parish Council, chaired Greek Festivals, member of Adelphotis Vinianiton, member of the Order of AHEPA, member of the Evrytanian Association – founding member of the Sotira Chapter #7 and held multiple board positions including President for 8 years.
