Gregorios Karagiorgis was born in 1963 in Viniani. He is the youngest of three sons to Stavros and Eleftheria Karagiorgis. Their family immigrated to the United States after the 1966 earthquake in the village, and afterwards settled in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In 1996 he married Helen Nikas of Winston-Salem and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and gratitude. They were blessed with two beautiful children, Stavros and Maria.
