Angelos Kolokythas (also known as Angelos Kithas) was born in 1902 in Viniani, Evrytanias, to Vasili (born 1874) and Vasiliki (1877-1959) Kolokythas. His siblings were Persiphone [Nikopoulos (his twin)], Stefanos, Kleomeni, and Georgios. He married Politimi Tsitsas [also known as Polly (1912-1997)].

They had four sons: Bill (1937-2021), Jim (1940-2022), George (1946-2026), and Alkie (1952-2019). Angelos Kithas was the owner of Angelo's Quick Lunch in Fort Worth, Texas, which was located one block away from the courthouse on Main Street. Angelos made only one family trip back to Greece during the summer of in 1952. He traveled with his wife and his three older sons on the ship “Nea Hellas”, the same vessel that had brought many of his fellow Vinianites to America. Angelos' father Vasili came to America on August 2nd, 1909 when he was 35 years old. It's possible that Vasili was working on a local railroad, and ended up in Texas at the time of the early 20th century oil boom. Angelos may have chosen to settle in Fort Worth, Texas because his father was already established there. Angelos passed away on May 26th, 1973.
